Default Signals Blue Enamel Collar

Here are my latest pick ups, on the right is a small South African Sigs mess dress collar badge. Next to that is a blue enamel aussie collar badge, unfortunately it doesn't match the original collar badge I had,(left of photo) the new one has a voided crown and the enamelling is heavier. Still a nice badge though.

Phil.

Default Signals Blue Enamelled collar

Dear Phil.

Worry not that the two Australian Signals enamelled badges are slightly different. They were a private purchase set after all.

You have done extremely well to get what you have done and please do display them together. Hope you get the cap badge soon.

This particular set of badges which I am so lucky to have a set of three of on my little web site is getting rarer and rarer.

Without naming names a very good friend of mine paid a sterling four figure sum for a set a short time ago and not a low four figure sum I do assure you.

Well done Phil and nice to see.

You will find the other Mess Dress badge for the SA Signals soon I am sure. Keep in mind Phil of the African web site Bid or Buy. I am sure I have seen these mess dress badges come up fairly often. This little set happens to be the first photo I show on the Africa section of my web site.

You are doing well.

My very best wishes

Chris Walker

Thanks Phil and BC, Phil Tassie Tigers still exist.
And thank you Chris, yes I would very much like to have a hat badge, I couldn't pass up this collar for the price it was, I have paid more for less significant badges when I was collecting Scottish badges. The irony of it is, I could have also bought the mate to this badge but didn't because I already had one (As in photo), when I went back the other one was gone.

All the best Phil.

LOL Phil,
so in other words it sounds like you had yourself a Tassie tiger but decided to let it go because you thought it was a stray dog. when you finally realised and went back it was gone. lol
better hunting next time
cheers
