Smile 1st Australian Infantry Regiment 1900-1912 Gaunt marked

Hi all,

Wanted to share my first Australian badge makers marked Gaunt London on an unusually shaped horseshoe shaped tablet - 1st Australian Infantry Regiment GM KC 1900-1912, lugs removed, hope you like Dean.

I like! Very nice badge indeed, Dean.

I guess that given the choice between "no lugs" or "no badge" I would certainly take the "no lugs" option.

Thanks Mick and Donny,

Came with lots of Gaunt tablet NZ badges, shall have them all re-lugged and will only keep the British ones I don't have and sell Aus and NZ. Hope the purist's don't mind having them re-lugged.

Dean, I could be wrong but the stumps remaining look very circular in section? This could suggest screw posts?

They just look like broken lug stumps to me.

Hi Toby and Mick,

Think they are lug stumps as came from a collection nailed to a board around the edges of the badge but all lugs and sliders removed.

Will it worry people if I have it re-lugged to sell or sell as is ?
