Default wd mark on slider

i have had this badge since the 90s and have never seen this marking since any ideas?

Sadly you probably bought it brand new as these are all repros. If you see a WD arrow on a slider run a mile!

hi thanks for your reply if it is a fake its a very good striking officer quality and why the wd mark?

I don't agree. The rear is a very poor striking; lack of depth of said strike and severe lack of distinction in the lettering.
