I believe the Welsh badge is genuine but would like to know the era. Is the Welch badge genuine?

both look good to me, the welsh is generally considered to be pre 1920 and the Welch post that date, except for some vols/mil badges

Welsh would be 1906-20. The Welch one looks fine.

Neither the Militia battalion, nor any of the Vol battalions of The Welsh Regiment, wore cap badges using the Welch spelling.
