Default Royal Crest of Arms - but what is it?

Any ideas on what this is - I can't find an exact match in any of the normal reference books - it measures some 50mm high x 46mm wide - a nicely die struck badge with a lovely patina.

I'd say large pattern General List for individual's I understand without specific assignment to a regiment etc. Also used for the Volunteer Corps as well.

I'll Let the rest of team get specific

Regards

Simon.
