Default Military Medal Citations

Hi all, I'm not into the Army at all, but I was wondering if there's a database of Citations for the Military Medal? I'm researching a friend's grandfather who won the MM in ww1 with the CEF. She's hopeful I'll find something good

Default MM Awards

Mike

Here is a link to the Canadian Great War Project....

http://www.canadiangreatwarproject.c...ominalMain.asp

Scroll to the bottom of the page to "Award Cross Referance" where you can search an individual by name. It is NOT ALL those who received the award but if he is listed you should then be able to request his record from Archives Can.

I have seen a book which gives the "citation" but I do not know the name of the author/book.

Someone else may have a copy of it and be able to look it up for you.

Hope this helps.

Jim C.

Apparently they are all on ancestry.ca.

Most WWI MMs don't have a citation but good luck.
