Hi Jo,

I'm curious to know where you got these pics and if there are more pics of men in the 49th Bn. I am starting to collect more than just the badges of the 49th bn as I have a relative who went overseas with the original contingent and who got his blighty in June 1916 (finally, after being sent back to rest for shell shock three times in May 1916, first time having been buried by a shell explosion). This was the battle on Mount Sorrel where the 49th was hit hard (as was the 4th CMR and PPCLI).

Cheers, Ian.

Hello Ian, well I'm no computer wizard but here's the trick. Go on the Safari search engine, type 49th Battalion in the right google window, then you will get a gazillion websites...don't go there. Go to the upper left and click on the word "images"....and go from there. You will get anything and everything that has 49 in the title. By the way I use an Apple computer and I'm not sure if the set-up will be the same on another search engine.
Also, here is another pic of the 49th Pipe Band.
Cheers.
Jo
