Default Small RA Badge with slider & lugs

Hello all,

I was offered a small Royal Artillery badge today for sale, quite a bit smaller than any I have already. The rear is fitted with a slider marked Dowler above Birmingham and also a lug at each end of the lower scroll. It has a King’s crown and the same layout as a normal RA badge. Is it usual to have both a slider and lugs on a badge ?

Thanks in advance for all replies,

Regards Alan Y.

Hello Peter,

All well at the moment,

Thanks for the very swift reply, it looks like the same badge, quite a bit smaller than my other ones and with the same maker’s mark as your badge. The seller was asking £12 but I might be able to get it down to £10, but I thought it was a bit high for an artillery badge.

All the best, Alan.
