G’day Andy

I guess the question is how ‘original’ do you want to look?

If you go to your local hire shop you’ll probably end up looking like a khaki clown in their one size fits uniforms. Best you can expect is 47 pattern BD worst is something from the 80’s

Do you want to keep the uniform? If so you could try these

Other than that you local amateur dramatic society might have the name of a good costumer. The company that supplies the BBC has some nice uniforms.

Lastly what about your local WW2 re-enactment group there is a list on the SOF site of some of the units in the UK.

I might have a few other leads you can try if needed.

Cheers
John
