Question New Makers Mark? - Alkit Ltd London

This is a new one on me, I've had this badge for a few years, thought it was a Gaunt Plaque/Plate/Cartouche, on closer inspection it is "Alkit Ltd" of "London", a maker that does not appear in the Forums Makers Mark index!

Mounted on an Officers GvR, Gilt Cap Badge, probably post WW1, which I am sure is genuine.

Anyone else got any items frm this maker?

Bill - One to add to the Index?

Andy

A quick google search threw up this. Check out the Welch Regiment cap.

There has been mention on the Forum before of Retailers getting makers to put their ( the retailers ) name on items ( certainly was quite a common practice with swords ) so this is probably an example.

I have had uniform items in the past by Alkit.

I once owned a 1928 Busby for an RA officer made by Messrs Alkit, and when I enquired of them some details back in the 60s, they had nothing to say about it.
