Inheritance from grandad; 243 Military Cap Badges
Good morning all,
A post to ask for some advice. We recently inherited 243 Military Cap Badges from Grandad. They are framed in 7 frames and as far as we know they are all originals, with sliders and loops. As we have no knowledge about those, it would be nice if somebody could give advice; who has interest in them, what are they worth, what does the order mean, is it a complete series, etc. Thanks in advance, Marieke. |

Hello Marieke, welcome to the Forum. Your account is active and open for posts.
Images of the badges is essential for identification and verification. Unfortunately, reproductions have crept into many collections.

Welcome.
If you intend on selling these badges please read the forum’s policy on sales to avoid any potential misunderstandings with members. https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ad.php?t=78876 https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/forum_rules.htm (paragraphs 9, 10 & 11) As Bill says photos are essential, close ups of the badges are needed. A photograph of a whole frame will not be sufficient for authentications. Lastly fakes/repros/restrikes etc. have been prevalent since the early 1970s en masse so unless the collection was assembled prior to then there may be some amongst it. |
