The attached extract which includes my grandfather (FORD, George Alfred) contains abbreviations that I am hoping someone can help with, specifically:

London DCC.186
VIth CCB

I am attempting to establish where he served so, in addition, if anyone could direct me to some appropriate source material, that too would be hugely appreciated

DCC = Divisional Cyclist Company

VI CCC = 6 Corps Cyclist Battalion.

Dont know what the number means

Now you know the unit, thanks to Simon,may I suggest you join the Great War Forum, post your relatives name number unit etc, you'll be surprised what the chaps on there can unearth.
