WRAC Major, Jimmy & badge question
Hi all
I wonder if you can help I'm looking for a Major's WRAC badge equivalent to the style of the pips in the Photo. Second I'm wondering why the Jimmy for the WRAC arm badge is seen more as LF than RF although they appear to be in pair sometimes ? Third, what is the Crown & arrows badge. It appears to be Suffolk, but I can't find it in a military context. Thanks Mel WRAC Battledress 1953 2.jpg c 1955 wrac signals arm badges.jpg wrac insignia war office.jpg Last edited by maering; 23-11-21 at 10:27 PM. |

The crown badge is that of the TA's 54th Division formed in 1956 which is a depiction of the crown of Edmund Saxon king of England.
It only exists in the woven version shown. Jon |

I would've thought that right facing Jimmy's would be more common than left facing as on some orders of dress rank chevrons would be worn only on the right arm rather than both.
Then again perhaps that's left a surplus of left facing on the shelves, on to the market. |
