Just had a quick Google for info and images - yes, looks like him.
(As an aside, I drove past the monument to him in Chiselhurst about 10 days ago, havnt been to the monument itself for decades). Louis that is - not yer boy Franz. |

Also found this image. Is there any way of determining the regiment. The jaunty officer is sporting a pair of loverly knees which is odd for the western front. The only odd thing l see is that they seem to be using Ross rifles which Canadians used ?
