Being heavily reproduced, would one surmise that that are scarce are rather pricey?
Does this example appear original to you?

I know this thread is a few years old, but the title shown (apart from the odd colouring, iffy camera I assume) is identical to that shown in badges on battle dress #2806 pp 539, 540, though dating and use is uncertain.

The title in question is a ww2 era paste back of proper construction and somewhat faded, as is common with the dyes used on these types. I would say it is an original period made example based on these factors.
