Default RE: Gurkha wing

What era were these wings worn -- WW2, or later?

Regards, castagain

Are you being cynical Pieter? I don't like these at all.

I saw these 'in the flesh' at Beltring, they have some age and I'm sure they are real but not sure who would have worn them

To me they look contrived - the wear and tear to the backing material seems extreme compared to the embroidered wings which appear to be in pristine condition. Some evidence of backing material and/or press studs or even a 1940s vintage safety pin would make them more convincing to my jaundiced eye.

Equally jaundiced here - it looks like a sub-continental attempt (by the spaghetti on the back) to create a 1960s pattern into something looking older. (I assume it is mimicking the Light Infantry coloured wings)

These are fake!

Look at the back. Not even close.
