Default Capbadge cruelty

A few months ago an acquaintance gave me an awful looking frame with the following capbadges nailed to it.

Please tell these aren't originals .

Hello Alburg,

I won't speculate on the originality of the damaged badges because I am nearly always wrong, a hazard of suffering from the " foot in mouth " disease I'm sorry to say.

As for the badges in your collection, the majority of them can be identified by finding my WWI collection album and comparing them, I think you might have to ask for the odd one, the Welsh Dragons for instance always get me muddled but the Line Infantry can all be sorted.

All the best.

Dave.

I too wish I could give your answer, however if they are originals what a terrible shame. Good badges for a young kid looking to get into the game. Maybe worth using for a Remembrance Day display, if they were to go amiss not out of pocket a great deal.
I am now waiting like you for the answer to your question.

Chris
