Default Northern Rhodesia?

Hi All
I picked this up today but have never seen one before. Is this a Northern Rhodesia Air Force Cap Badge or perhaps just something that somebody has made up and is total fantasy?
Any opinions/info appreciated.
Thanks in advance. Cheers,
Alex

It is not like Northern Rhodesia ones I have seen which have a diminutive type of laurel wreath beneath the bird, and the bird looks different, but perhaps this is a variation which came in and I am quite wrong.

Hi John
I may be wrong but I think you are confusing this with the Rhodesian Air Force badge, which I have attached a picture of a few here. This style of eagle was later used on the Zambian flag if I'm not mistaken.
Cheers,
Alex

Hi Craig
Thanks very much, this can't have been in use for very long then I assume? A year or less?
Cheers,
Alex

Would imagine no more than a year. Nice pilot and air crew wings to match this c/b with Q/C above and NR coat of arms centre.

Default Zambian Air Force

Thanks for the photo, another one to look for. Would you consider selling it?

Good heavens, that is a very scarce badge, I can't remember the last time I actually saw one, I reckon I would have been at school though, moreover, a very pleasing example too!
