Unusual silver toned collar badge?

hi guys , I picked this up over the weekend at a local shop.

is it a collar badge? (it is the same size)

I have not seen this type of "prong " on the back before, any thoughts on this?

Not sure on this one and could totally be wrong, but I always thought it was the beret badge for the armoured corps. The larger badge being for the slouch hat.
will look into it further and let you know what i find out
