Default Somaliland Camel Corps

Many years ago I picked up an odd item of the Somaliland Camel Corps: a cast metal replica of the SCC's hat badge. It is very nicely crafted and stands about 9 inches tall. Why was it made and what was its function? Did it adorn the office or staff car of one of the SCC's senior officers? I doubt that I will ever know. It now adorns my office. I posted an image of the front and back of it on my website; a link to it follows. To give you an idea of its size, I photographed the front next to a hat badge of the SCC.

Hi,

I also have one of these; they were attached to the front of the regimental vehicles I believe.

Regards,

Zob.

Thanks, Zob. That was at the top of my list of possible uses.
