Default KLR Officers S/G Badge?

Hello Chaps,

I've been looking at this KLR officers badge for the last day or two and I'm wondering what you fine fellows think about it? I've trawled through all the old forum threads about the KLR and I've only found one post showing badges made like this. These were described as collars but the horses were on a torse and they had EW lugs, this horse is on ground and has NS lugs. The seller doesn't say either cap or collar, but dimensions given are 41H, 37W, what do you think?

Default KLR cap badge

Would you sell it ?

It’s currently at £48. I’ve sent you an email.

It seems as if Julian has got the wires crossed a bit, but I can't help but take his interest in this badge as a favourable indication of it's desirability!

I thought Forum etiquette was not to sign post to badges where the auctions were live. Just a thought now the price has been inflated, cheers Dean.

Hardly slipped though net unless you did not place a bid?

I’m sure Julian will confirm.

Cultman have an other ranks cap badge of same pattern on their website they give measurements as: H 40mm x W 38mm. Very similar to the badge in the OP.

It looks to be a typical officer cap badge as worn on the FSC for example. I can't fathom the price either...what am I/we missing?

(much larger than a collar)

DEFINITE cap badge !

It is a S&G dated 1896 Firmin, height 41mm,

Jennens - Ht 41
Gaunt Ht 41

I have three of them - Firmin is a S&G dated 1896, height 41mm, Jennens, and Gaunt (also have OSD - Jennens ht40mm, Firmin and Gaunt

I've been busy all day so now I'm to bed - dreaming of 1896 - 1926 - 1950

Look it up eg TNA or NAM

Enjoy
