His name may have been John William Powell, not James. Anyone of that name on medal roll ? Many thanks

Hi Leigh, after doing more research the family think that his name was William G. Powell. Do you know if there was anyone of that name in the regiment ?

There were a number of W Powells in the London Regiment, there's a WG Powell but his battalion isn't specified.
