Getting there - An RF on its way to me and a T missing for T 13 CoL plus T 11 CoL but gap filled for T 22 CoL thanks to Pat (aka Longdog).

I abandoned adding in a button for each battalion, the gaps were too numerous for me!

Cheers Dean

Hi Dean,

Nice collection and great work on the STs. The 10th and 11th badges must’ve switched places in the night, the Hackney should be first. The LRB is the later pattern with Great War battle honours so wasn’t worn in 1914.

Afraid the Artists looks like it’s from MM. The WM Kensington’s (unless chromed) I’d wager says Gaunt B’ham on the reverse so ditto, they did wear a WM badge in the band I’m told, check out Alan O’s album or I can send you pics of my two - they’re all from the same die. The 15th looks like dumpy scroll feathers too?

Like the Yeo happy to go through them with you when you’ve got more time.

Cheers,

Luke

Thanks Luke - I have been focussed on the shoulder title gaps for what seems ages in my collecting head that I have always intended to curate the cap badges again. Some I should have picked up before now as being the incorrect pattern for a 1914 set and oops on swapping a pair over. Sleep deprivation clearly.

Shall go through them and weed them out, Kensington is an Officers WM/S unmarked with blades, cheers Dean

Sorry Dean that Firmin mark is fake as too is the badge itself which is from the MM catalogue fake die. Note how the bird in the bottom left quadrant mergers into the cross.

Personally I’d go with the one middle of the pic for this display.
Cheers, Luke

13th Londons was not worn in w/m during the war as they wore khaki hats with brass badges.
