Hello Simon
Two options, Motor Machine Gun Corps or Machine Gun battalion RND. I lean towards the RND. Andy |

You know, I never saw the thing under the crossed rifle/MG's as those options.
Good call Andy, see what the rest think and I'll title as with the consensus. cheers Simon. |

Definitely not 63rd Division (RND) MGC Units - the three letters can be made out in pictures of it. For my money it is one of the Canadian MGC variants, with a 'Canada' scroll across.

Possibly, but he's wearing British pattern Service Dress i.e. 5 button SD jacket and I believe the Canadian pattern was a 6 button SD jacket. Any chance of a closer look at the title?

How's about this. And by the way the photo was taken in Edinburgh.

I demur to Graham (with apologies to all) - the enlargement highlights the letters better - so I'm definitely wrong, and it is the RND badge. Quite a rare sight of it being worn in action!

Could be, though my first inclination would be towards the dog in a basket with Victorian Crown.
