Default Jennens and Co

Hi all, went to Malvern flea today to sell a few medals and bits. One dealer there had a stock of badges, some scarce, 80 percent of which were maker marked, which aroused my suspicion. Some I recognised as fake, this Kent Yeo seemed a good quality striking, in GM, marked by Jennens. Probably still a fake if any one has an opinion let me know please. It was for nothing so nothing lost if it is.
Thanks
John

A fake and fake mark.

This thread may be of interest, I’ve listed other fake makers marks from the same stable (no pun intended):

Just as well it was for nothing, although I am surprised to see a dealer actually giving them away.

I don't know who he is, none of my business. I have not seen him there before. He seemed to know a few dealers in the trade, somebody is repairing sliderless badges for him with maker marked ones. All his rare Irish badges were marked with a Belfast maker mark. Seemed a nice guy, whether he knew his offerings were suspect, I don't know. I bought a few genuine unmarked badges off him at reasonable prices, took a gamble on the Kent Yeo.
Met a couple of Forum members at the show which was nice.
