Northamptonshire Regiment badge mystery

Hi all,

This one has me puzzled - at first I thought it looks like a Northamptonshire Regiment collar badge - 10.75 H x 10.5mm W - similar to Churchill mess dress 1323 collar with Gibraltar above and Talavera below. However, that is with three towers and mine has two towers. It has one remaining bent lug.

So on to Officers helmet plates of The Northamptonshire Regiment and it could be the silver centre from K&K 261. The castle and key were re-designed in 1900 to three towers well at least that is what I can see happened with OR's HPC 404 and 405. Only thing is K&K 261 has loop of key below the castle mine the loop is over the base of the castle.

My conclusion possibly a variant silver centre piece for Officers helmet plate pre-1900 The Northamptonshire Regiment.

Can someone confirm who has a complete Officers one please or set me straight.
