Default Gloucestershire Regt - unusual.maker . . .

Gents, continuing a review of my collection, I found this Gloucestershire Regt cap badge. Its nicely made and heavy in the hand, however appears to have a makers mark on the slider in Arabic.

Anyone know anything about it or indeed, what it says?

Thanks chaps

Bess

For what it's worth Google Lens search translates the script as"Moaward return".

I like the badge, unusual markings.

It is a British made badge with the inscription added somehow.

I've just noticed what I think is the typical WW1 era crimp mark at the top of the slider, so potentially a Great War example?
