Default HQ Malta Command Badges

I'm having some problems getting more information regarding a pair of badges presumably belonging to HQ Malta Command. I cannot find any evidence of them being worn, but have been told the might be WWII period.

Would anyone have any documentation stating the above? I believe the the HQ Malta Command was composed of men and women from various regiments and military branches, co-ordinating the Island's defensive and offensive strategies. So I would understand that most regimental representatives wore these badges and not particularly or limited to RMA and KOMR?

Thanks,
Vincent
