Abbreviated vs Fully Spelled Corps Titles
Doing more research on the use of cloth titles by the Canadian army, it appears that the abbreviated titles for some corps were used throughout WW2. These include the RCAPC, CPC, RC SIGS, and RCEME. It only was at the very end that fully spelled out versions appear to have come into use.
Does anyone have images / documentation of fully spelled out titles in use during the war?
As a corollary, the RCASC, CDC, RCAMC and RCOC appear to have worn a combination of abbreviated and fully spelled out titles. Any ideas why these units used both patterns?
