Here you are T.

Not good photo's w/m has loops to rear, the Brass has wire fixings which is daft as weak as sin, both intact on this one have another but need to dig it out, older but no fixings and sewn onto tie, hope this helps, billy

Can't upload the brass one from my Album, will work out how to fo it and post later, found them the one on tie not shown on photos

Well this is I Believe! the 1st design for the S.A.S. badge with the curved Wings before what we now know as the badge from WW2 to date, hopefully someone will authentic or correct so we will be wiser?

Any reason as to why this badge is sought ? As to cost no idea, haven't seen original Belgique S.A.S. badge for comparison, mine could be from early mid 50, s for the Brass (maybe earlier) w/m wasn't around WW2 period and replaced brass version I think? or for different Battalion, not that clued up on Belgium badges, but do have a few as brother lives there and pick up where I can, those I have found weren't that expensive, but not found on recent trips to Belgium?

Check my Belgium Album but have since acquired a few more, all the best billy

I think I'm right in saying that Belgian cavalry units and WOs and NCOs of other units wear / wore silver coloured cap, beret and shoulder strap insignia, others wore gold coloured insignia.
I've read somewhere that the gold or gilt finish insignia were officers but I don't know if that's correct.

Thank you all and Bill thank you for taking the time to show the pictures
My friend was going to bid on a lot that had the badge in it and didn't know about the gold badge and how much to offer for everything but he says he got the lot anyway

Thank you
