The rear wouldn't bother me if the front was better, every one which comes on the market tends to be like this so I'm pretty sure its a reproduction and a poor one at that.

I agree and also echo Keith’s thoughts.

Whilst the backs of many London related PBPs can vary hugely the very poor quality of the front and lack of definition or detail is what kills these me. As Simon mentions this one appears of particularly modern manufacture. I suspect they’re cast copies possibly from one similar to the attached silver PBP.

The deformed, verging on mutilated, second N of London is a common feature amongst those seen on eBay and on sellers websites.
