The markings appear in post war caps too.

Ok!...and what do you think about this one? (Forget the badge...it is clearly added...as you can see it has the marking of two holes for a lugged badge)

Very difficult to say it’s WW2 that colour of material was worn well into the post WW2 period.

The badge looks like an Other Ranks slidered one, incorrect, but it is possible for a cap to have been worn legitimately with different badges, for example when infantry regiment badges were replaced by brigade cap badges during the 1950s - 60's and then reintroduced.

The button is the second pattern worn by The Royal Logistical Corps, which was formed in 1993. That doesnt necessarily mean that the cap was made as late as 1993, it could perhaps have been badged and buttoned to one of the units that formed The RLC and that units insignia replaced by those of the new corps.

Looks like it's a post war cap that could simply be a RLC officers cap minus its cap badge and with the wrong cap badge slotted on it.
It could be a cap that's had its insignia changed by the officer when his Corps was rebadged as RLC.
I have a similar cap but by a Hong Kong manufacturer (I think), made in 1982 but with RLC buttons - probably just a RCT or RAOC or other Corps cap with insignia changed upon amalgamation into the RLC in the 1990's.

It's a pitty...I thought it could be wartime...it is exactly like the RE one showed in this link (not the first one...I reffer to the one showed by the member called Bobs):

caps with the sticky brown crown liner tend to be late WWII and on into the early 1960's, most being 1950's. Easy to change buttons, strap and badges at any time.

Ok, thank you! Probably I change buttons and badge to make it more correct!
