Opinions on a Seaforth badge sought
Hi all.
Found this recently on farmland in Cornwall, I contacted the Highlanders Museum for info. They did not recognise it at all - not standard issue. I would love to know more about it as it seems so far from home... grid is in cm. Many thanks, b. |

Hi Benjum,
This could be a sweetheart brooch/badge. Is there any sign of the fixings on the back? Cheers, Tinto |

Thanks for your reply, I'd say the badge was fixed pin and loops by the two tiny holes at 10 and 2 o'clockish. I asked if it was a brooch, they said "Not like any they had seen". Two General Service buttons made by Cheney were found near by - but so was an 18th C. spur! I thought it was a brooch as I could not match it to regimental insignia unless it was territorial or Canadian perhaps. Many thanks
