Unknown regiment

Hi, Does anyone know the regiment and at what time that this sergeant belongs to?
IMG_20230205_142956.jpgI found his photo at my dad's house in Derby, but I don't believe it's a regiment from that region.
I think the badges show a sphinx, and he may be wearing an Egyptian campaign medal.
I hope you can help.

he is a Sergeant in the Manchester Regiment c. 1905

He has the 1882 Egypt Medal & Khedives Star, the QSA with 3 clasps, which would on the balance of probabilities indicate 1st Bn and the KSA.

I could give it a new home if you were wanting to sell it.
