Default Opinions on a Seaforth badge sought

Hi all.

Found this recently on farmland in Cornwall, I contacted the Highlanders Museum for info. They did not recognise it at all - not standard issue. I would love to know more about it as it seems so far from home... grid is in cm.

Many thanks,

b.

Hi Benjum,
This could be a sweetheart brooch/badge. Is there any sign of the fixings on the back?
Cheers,
Tinto

Thanks for your reply, I'd say the badge was fixed pin and loops by the two tiny holes at 10 and 2 o'clockish. I asked if it was a brooch, they said "Not like any they had seen". Two General Service buttons made by Cheney were found near by - but so was an 18th C. spur! I thought it was a brooch as I could not match it to regimental insignia unless it was territorial or Canadian perhaps. Many thanks
