Default RCAF

Hi Everyone can you help me figure out why I have what appears 3 similar but different badges the 1st is flat (polished to death mind), the 2nd starts out flat and then domes out as it reaches the edge of the lauels, and the 3rd is completely curved? in both planes! this also appears cast, also a difference in lettering? could this be an early pre-WW2 badge? thanks for your help billy!

I see what you mean Billy. Simply put, airmen would place these badges over an open pipe or similar rounded opening, motto side down and hammer down the motto with something like a broomhandle to give it that domed look.....was a fashion thing I guess. All look correct to me.

I agree, my uncle did the same with his RAF one. Lettering differences I put down to different manufacturers.
