Fusilier fur cap grenades
Nowt much to do on a beautiful day here, so thought I would share my collection of OR fur cap grenades. Grenade badges of all kinds are amongst my favorite designs and these large badges are always eye candy to me.

Very nice CB.
Fur cap grenades don’t seem to get the level attention from collectors that they used to 30 or so years ago which is a shame as they are such beautiful and impressive pieces in my opinion, all superbly made in quality material. It’s Royal Scots Fusiliers Chris. |

Another good aspect I like about them is they are neither rare nor particularly expensive, with the possible exception of the Munsters and Dubs.

You are correct in my belief, fur cap grenade prices seem to have dropped compared to 25+ years ago. Similar situation with Helmet Plate Centres.

Types and variations as K and K
If serious about starting to collect these give me a p.m David |

As David says quite a few variations in slight changes of designs, crowns, NCOs, officers, volunteers etc. KK is the place to look, there is a plate in Gaylor’s book too.
But if you wanted to keep it simple for an attractive display I’d do similar to CB and aim for a QVC example of the other ranks Gm grenades for the 9 Fusilier regiments. |

Second is a Glengarry badge, again to the RSF.

Luke has answered for me. The RSF were the only fusilier regiment to continue wearing a (its) glengarry badge until 1959.
