Probably a red field with five yellow stars judging by China’s $490 million investment in the country?

Looking at the TV footage of the ceremony, it was interesting to see that the Commissioner of Police was still (after midnight) wearing his Queen's Crown insignia on epaulettes and cap badge.

This is in contrast to what took place in Hong Kong in 1997, when on the stroke of midnight, police officers stood in the street (and elsewhere) and removed the QC insignia from their caps and replaced it with the new cap badge of the Hong Kong Police.

If a new badge has been designed, I would be surprised if it had been manufactured yet let alone issued. Probably to be made in China?

The Barbados Defence Force cap badge does not feature a QC, so perhaps no change there then.

Dave.

Default Barbados Police

Moving slightly aside,RHKP officers were issued with two cap badges, one could be retained as a souvenir ,the other to be returned to Stores, against payment in default. The same applied in 1969 on change from HKP to RHKP. ( I apologise for divergence ).
