Default Question on Appropriate Rank for WW1 CMMGC Badge ?

Hello Folks, I apologize if I've Posted this in an improper Forum, yet I figured this was the most appropriate. I'm trying to determine if the below M.M.G.C. Badge would have been appropriate for either an Officer, Enlisted Ranks, and or Both, interchangeably ? It's within a nice St. Eloi Craters [ France ] M.M. Group, although the recipient wasn't yet assigned to that organization, but rather the 24th Battalion C.E.F. when he earned his M.M.. He was later Commissioned an Lieutenant, & subsequently transferred into the Canadian M.G.C., & then again later, transferred into the Canadian Motor Machine Gun Corps very late in the War, or even a few months into the Armistice. What I'd like to know is if the M.M.'s recipient would have worn this Badge, or it was perhaps only a 'token' of sorts of a former unit ? THANK YOU Guys

Best regards, Dom P.

The design is right for an enlisted MMG soldier but as Luke says it is a copy and not an original badge. Many MMG wore the basic MGC badge without the extra title and this is seen in WW1 photos.
