Unhappy Remembrance

REMEMBRANCE

In 2012 the Queen visited the Poppy Factory , during her visit she made her own 'special' poppy . She was also asked why the wreath she placed at the Cenotaph had 93 poppies but admitted she didn't know.

One suggestion is that it was to commemorate the year her father , George VI , was born but no one really knows.

Last year was the 93rd anniversary of the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey .

This year , on Remembrance Sunday I will place a poppy in the Field of Remembrance in her honour , she was the first female member of the royal family to serve in the armed forces and continued to serve her country for the rest of her life.
