Lieutenant Thomas Alfred Hooper. Unit: 5th Battalion, Australian Infantry, Australian Imperial Force. Death: 18 August 1916, killed in action at Pozieres, Somme, Western Front. Commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial. CWGC family information: son of Richard Hooper and Elizabeth Ellen Hooper, of "Roseleigh," 15, Queen's Avenue, Auburn, Victoria. Born at California Gully, Victoria.
