Victorian gilt and brass Yorkshire Dragoons buttons uniform question
Hello good people of the forum
I hope you are all well. I have been going through my collection over this strange time, and ive come across a lot of buttons I'd forgotten I had. They really are lovely items, such detail on such a small thing! Anyway, I digress, the question I have is, I came across 2 Yorkshire Dragoons buttons, one gilt, one brass, from which uniform would these have been worn please? As I thought white metal and silver were worn by this Regiment. Your time and help are greatly appreciated. Thank you Chris |

Is the brass one not originally gilded, it looks to be of officer quality?

An apology to Leigh, I photographed the wrong buttons, both are officer gilt buttons, I was supposed to photograph the large gilt, and a small brass one I have. Anyway a forum member has kindly answers my question, both are service dress buttons. Thank you all anyway, Stay safe Chris |
