Default RFC era Pilot and Observer Dress wings

I picked up these Dress wings in a private sale. The condition is almost too good to be true but miracles can happen. The question I guess is are they period pieces? I'm leaning to believe they are but not 100% convinced. Very high quality in any event. Thoughts anyone?

Not my area - and I can't help out with the answers you seek, but have to say; both are very nice I'd be happy to have them!

I'm no authority on RFC items, but I would be happy to own them.

Very nice items. They both seem to have that air of quality in the detail that is often lacking in reproductions.

I am not a RFC collector but I would not hesitate in buying these as originals. The workmanship is too good to be made recently in Pakistan and the toning of of the bullion thread has real age patina.

very nice!

Default Thanks.

Thanks to everyone for your interest and comments. It's good to know we all agree. I've attached a couple of expanded images to illustrate the detail and effort that went into making these. They are really works of art.
I initially thought the center portion of the "O" Wing was just rubbed and damaged a bit but in fact, the silver bullion was either specially selected or "picked" and unwoven for this region to give this contrasting effect.

I'll upload a few more interesting items in the future.

Cheers!

They are a really nice set Zorgon. They look period to me. The pilot wing is superb in all respects. Nice pick ups (again!!)
