British 2 Corps FS (2nd Pattern)
I believe that the FS in the scan are 2nd pattern versions of the 2 Corps FS (Waring 122a). It replaced the leaping salmon version, and can apparently be found in a printed version as well.
If my identification is correct, please can anyone tell me when these were adopted, and when the Corps was disbanded? Thanks, Stephen. |

Stephen,
This 2 Corps was formed for the planned operations at Suez in 1956. I have found little about it as the operations did not go as originally planned. It was however worn as I have two examples of it on battle dress blouses. I'd be interested to know if anyone can add anything further. Jon |

British 2 Corps FS (2nd pattern)
Further information supporting the 1956 period of use. It was extracted from The Formation Sign No 184 (published 12.96.)
