Hi All,
An interesting acquisition I recently picked up at an Arms Fair. A silver medal or watch fob to The 3rd Battalion R.W.F..Its silver hallmarked to B'Ham maker F&S but year of manufacture too well rubbed to read.Due to CH spelling after 1920. Hwyl Bantam Last edited by Bantam; 11-04-08 at 11:05 PM. |

Fantastic Bantam, never seen one of those before either. It reminds me of the various patterns of Old Comrades lapel brooch that have been issued over the years. Last edited by Toby Purcell; 01-04-08 at 11:28 AM. |

Hello all,
Decided to show the contrast in size of cloth shoulder titles over the years. The largest of the titles was gifted me by a collector who had the finest collection of military cloth badges I have ever seen. The one day he said he was giving up collecting and sold his entire collection. Croeso adref 41st wyn gobiethio mwyhau ich hunan yn Llangranog ? Hwyl Bantam Last edited by Bantam; 11-04-08 at 11:05 PM. |

54Bty, I have the pasteback version having found a bag of them in the QMs stores before I left the regiment in 1984 (they were from the Battle Dress era and no longer required). The 1995 version is totally new to me (and shows how out of touch I had become). Do you know what form of dress it was worn on? No 2 Dress?

More V.B examples.
1.2nd V.B brass. This one has been overcovered with laquer at some time in the past and I haven't got around to removing it yet. 2.Reverse of above. 3.A variant of the 3rd V.B with long blades to the rear. I don't think this example was ever issued as it is in excellent condition. 4.Reverse of the above. 5.Ditto but angled to show the double blades. Does anyone know why it would have been made like this? |

The standard all white metal version.
Whether this was worn only by the Militia Battn or by all V.B's on service dress, I don't know. Any information would be welcomed. Cofion, Kevin |

Hi All,
Some metal titles Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Would like honest opinion of London Welsh one.Lug Fittings O.K. There is also the discolouration of the metal on the London Welsh which is also a good age indicator. Hwyl Bantam Last edited by Bantam; 11-04-08 at 11:05 PM. |
