Default Engineers? Artillery? Medical??

These look like artillery or engineer collar badges, but they all have a cross on them. I'm assuming they're British. Are they badges of a medical branch within that corps? I'd be most grateful for your collective wisdom.

Some very rare items, I believe they are insignia worn in the Guards Field Hopitals during the Boer War?

I'd be interested in buying one if you are willing to sell one.

Unfortunately I don't have any of these badges, and this was the first time I'd ever seen them. They were part of an auction lot of medical badges which sold for about 800 pounds in 2008, which I found during a random internet trawl. I'd hate to guess at their value these days.
