Hi Jerry
Interesting to see that one. Mine probably had a pin of some sort but gone now. Should I handle it with care in case it is "live" or call the bomb squad? |

I've enjoyed looking at these. We're they made for the war savings or just to have at home ?
I'd like to know more about how they came about. |

added another cap type to the collection, the one in the middle in the pics, Victorian forage cap or posties/pc's, with the steeper peak.

A couple from my small collection, both from the Imperial Bazaar, a shop in Ramsgate that was bombed during WW1. The owners obviously saw it as an opportunity! Both have the description. Third pic is the interior of the shop after the May 1915 raid.

I should think any shop details could be added when placing an order. Would have cost more though. I've only come across shop/retail details for 2 shops but my collection is not huge. Regards, Paul.

Hi Paul
I'll quote my late Dad: "I may have too many, but I haven't got enough..." This has lead me to spend more than my pocket money allows on bit and pieces over the years. |

Paul, A bit of a stray from the topic of collecting but we always say - "there is no such thing as a spoiled bunny, only very loved ones". In other words. I see it as - a person will know when he have enough as he will stop collecting them. Until that time one never has enough!

Hello Beaker. I started collecting crested while living in Slough but found limited items so decided to collect within 10 miles of Slough Railway station. I've recently bought the Egham Tommy and MG as it falls within the area. Nice battery of 3 the museum have. Regards, Paul.

You've got me buying this stuff now, this nice one has a bit chipped of the top but perhaps that's why I was the only bidder.
Regimental badges seem to be a bit rarer on these? Rob |
