Unhappy Lt-colonel shoulder cords

Good afternoon,

I have acquired these badges presented as Staffordshire Rgt Lt-colonel. How is it possible to assign them to a specific regiment ?

Indeed that narrows it down to 'a couple of regiments'

Hello Manchesters,
Before the series of amalgamation of regiments occurred the shoulder cords would have been wore by The Gordon Highlanders in No.1 Dress. Even as The Highlanders (Seaforth, Gordons and Camerons), they were still wore in No.1 Dress. Goes way back to the Gordons commemorating the death of MajGen. Sir John Moore at the Battle of Corunna (1809), and regimental battle honour.

Did the Royal Leicestershire Regiment continue the "black worm" in the their lace tradition by using the pattern of shoulder cords shown?

The Gordon Highlanders also wore the black line.
