I've tried beating a hole in the top of these things with a hammer and chisel, drilling, electric saw doesn't work (thinking of them as herb pots).
Gave up in the end, filled a wheelie bin with the things.
So there went my excuse for buying them.
They require too much effort and coordination any way, pull this, twist that - the pull the tap out and bend it down to pour version is better, far easier on the thumbs - see what you mean though, drill a hole, stick a brolly and a straw in the top and you've got a Glasgae cocktail?

I discovered some Mexican / Texan soft drink called "sotol" a little while ago, got a bottle for an American mate who was visiting.
Old school technology that one - a wooden bung shoved in the bottle.
Got myself and him T-shirts too as it was 4th July.
