Hi, This is a jacket crest, not an official patch. I have no idea what it stands for, it could be Correspondent, or any Cadets, or Curling, or C anything.

It is listed of course as Corespondent, & if that is what it is I have never seen one, I do have the oval green Corespondent's flash & was wondering if there was another that some of you fellows may know about. Ray

This patch has appeared in a variety of different background colours and with all of them the general shape is identical as is the cut of the maple leaf.
In no way is this military as no documentation exists to support it, no photographic evdence has ever been uncovered that shows it and no contemporary uniform has been found with the patch. Although my own book has shown a few new formation patches these are from contemporary photos and all meet the standard formation patch criteria. This 'correspondent's patch' does not, especially in the design of the maple leaf whose use was strictly controlled by the Canadian Army. Further, the CAO instructions for correspondents describes the patches and this does not comply with those instructions.
My belief is that these patches are from a Canadian-based paramilitary group, similar to the WVRC. There were literally dozens of these groups and no complete study has been undertaken of their uniforms or organizations yet. Some photos can be found at my web-site www.servicepub.com/women.htm
